Vice President of Products
Enersponse is a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Management company, bringing Grid Operators and Utilities together with power consumers of all sizes. We bring grid service programs, such as Demand Response, Demand Management, Peak Shaving, Energy Hedging, Energy Efficiency, and Auto-DR to customers that require a more sophisticated approach through building automation.
This team member can work remotely anywhere.
Our team focuses primarily on selling demand response, energy management services, energy efficiency, Automated Demand Response (ADR) services, and other DER monetization solutions to commercial, industrial and institutional customers that have multi-state and multi-market operations. Enersponse executives identify opportunities through multiple channels, cultivating and maintaining relationships with the end-use commercial/institutional/industrial facility personnel, energy brokers and consultants, providers of energy efficiency, automation and distributed energy solutions.
Summary
Enersponse is seeking an experienced professional as VP of Product with a passion for energy and experience leading enterprise software product teams.
At Enersponse, the product team is involved in almost every facet of our business. From building against external and internal requirements, working with different areas to commercialize our offering from marketing to business development to QA to support. As the VP of Product, you will be fundamental in planning our future and managing our growth.

Responsibilities and Duties
Own overall product strategy, roadmap, execution, and quality
Lead, develop, and grow a team of talented product managers, engineers, and data analysts
Deeply understand our clients’ and partners’ needs and business priorities and translate those into our product strategy
Work closely with the CTO and CSO and other cross-functional internal teams to prioritize product development, build excitement around a product vision, and clearly articulate a multi-year product roadmap
Run an efficient and effective product development process
Play a central role in the development and execution of the company’s strategy
Maintain and improve reliability and quality development of Enersponse’s core platform
Develop internal and external systems, processes and content that will enable streamlined delivery of services and an exceptional experience to our partners
Qualifications and Skills
Led an enterprise software team in recent history
You build strong relationships with both engineering and non-technical teams, both internal and external stakeholders, to understand their business models, needs, and requirements
Have a good understanding of the core technical concepts in SaaS platforms - including a strong technical understanding of API integrations
Possess strong project management, analytical and technical abilities
Have an ability to prioritize, juggle and execute tasks with an eye on delighting our partners and growing our value as a business
Ability to understand, own, and deploy products in complicated and nuanced energy markets including identifying new/optimized monetization strategies by market and channel
Provide operational direction to the cross-functional teams like marketing, engineering, account management, finance, etc. on a daily basis
Manage and present budgets and timeline to upper management and the board on a monthly or as needed basis
Enjoy working collaboratively in a team with a diverse group of amazingly talented and fun people, but you are also capable of working independently in a fast-paced startup
Have an excellent usability sense and able to identify customer pain points, and can step into the user's shoes and be their advocate to converting them into opportunities — testing and refining the solutions, executing the build, delivery, and iterations
You take a quantitative, yet adaptable approach, and strike a balance between making analytical decisions and trusting your instincts
Have 5+ years of experience within a technical role creating and delivering products from ideation to commercialization at scale
Have 3+ years of experience with team leadership and product roadmap ownership
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
